About me

God called me into prayer in 1994, while attending an amazing gathering of people in Whistler BC, Canada - called, by the way, ' The Gathering.' There God gave me a vision of His presence wanting to come and sweep through the Valley we live in touching every church every leader & pastor and every congregation. For someone who had never really prayed before - except when a crisis arose - THAT was a pretty daunting vision. He graciously brought many other amazing women around me who also felt called to pray for those in church Leadership. That has led to my participation and leadership of a City Prayer group that has been praying every Tuesday for almost 15 years for all the pastors and leaders of our city. Then about 10 years ago God began to speak to me about getting our Pastor's and Leader's better covered in prayer. I began to learn about and pray into Prayer Shields. Now one of my major passions, next to church unity, is to see every leader/pastor and their families, functioning with a Prayer Shield praying on their behalf.

Do you like war movies? I do – love 'em ! When I watch them, I get LOTS of symbolism out of them. Whenever the good guys were taking more ground, or higher ground, always you'd hear one of them (usually the leader, who was coming out into the open) say, “ Cover me”... New Years Resolutions Ok so I'm not the biggest fan of 'new year resolutions'. They tend to be mostly about losing weight, joining a gym.. having more consistent devotions or keeping your house clean. All good stuff I suppose, but then why is it that statistics show that we most of those resolutions are broken within 4-6 weeks. Could it be that there is something else we should be focusing on? Could there be some deeper or hidden issues that are at the root of why we can't keep those resolutions? Something to think about. For Leaders wanting a Prayer Shield...

When a leader decides to step out and ask for Prayer it's like 'drawing a line in the sand' and saying ' That's enough!' When a leader asks for prayer, it can also be a humbling experience because it's often hard for many of us to ask for the very thing we need. There is always the lie of the enemy too, that says , ' Who am I, to be asking for a prayer shield? I'm not important. ' Well, if you are influencing for the Kingdom of God, if you are doing what God's asked of you, and taking ground for the Kingdom - who are you not to ask for prayer coverage ?!! Ask yourself who has benefited for hundreds of years, by convincing leaders ( whether in the church field or the business community), that they are 'not important enough' to be calling for prayer coverage?
